Custodian

We have three manufacturing facilities, multiple corporate-owned retail showrooms, and a global distribution network. We have an opening for a Custodian at our Manlius, NY facility.

Position Overview:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the entire facility including but not limited to manufacturing, warehouse, office, and external property for landscaping purposes as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean all Restrooms
• Clean all Facility Office areas to include trash, recycling, dusting, and vacuuming,
• Sweep and mop all tile flooring and strip, seal, buff, and wax as needed
• Pick up and dispose of all trash and recycling throughout the facility
• Maintain and clean kitchenettes in facility break rooms
• Conduct periodic cleaning of refrigerators throughout the factory/warehouse
• Maintain outside areas including but not limited to entry ways, landscaping, and lot areas.
• Conduct light maintenance responsibilities
• Maintenance of sidewalks and emergency exits during cold seasons for snow removal

Essential Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to rough mills, fine mills, storage, distribution, office areas, retail selling areas, including the outside perimeter of the building
• Move objects up to and exceeding 200 pounds with reasonable accommodations
• Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions
• Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break
• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
